Our K1 students were excited to visit their new friends at the senior activity center again.
On their last visit, children and seniors created flower pots using recycled plastic bottles and various materials for decorating.
Unfortunately, our plants did not grow so, on this visit, we decided to create some colourful additions for the center through the power of art!
Children and seniors worked together to brainstorm ways to convert recycled toilet paper rolls into beautiful flower bouquets, rocket ships flying to space and lighthouses ushering boats back to Port.
Colourful paint completed the pieces of art.
These visits to the Senior Activity Center have been an amazing opportunity to engage in intergenerational experiences. So fun!
