Our K2 students got their turn to visit our local senior activity center this past week. They were eager to share the knowledge they had gained about the effects of plastic on our environment.
They began by sharing the brochure they had made during our Keep Clean, Singapore campaign. They “taught” the seniors about the importance of recycling and reducing our use of single use plastics.
Finally, children and seniors worked side by side to decorate a flower pot using recycled plastic bottles and recycled paper. They planted basil seeds and made a promise to return in one month to compare their plants growth.
It was definitely an exciting day for everyone involved and were all looking forward to catching up on each other’s progress on our next visit!
