Welcome to our Start Small Dream Big Project 2021. Our project titled “Golden Beats” is a collaboration project with Sunshine Welfare Action Mission Home and our children from PCF Sparkletots Nee Soon South Blk 781. It involves children from Nursery 2, Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2.
This project aims to promote character building by instilling the spirit of giving and values, such as care for others, humility, kindness and compassion. The theme ‘Stay Connected, Make a Difference’ encourages us to maintain social connections with the community and inclusive. We aim to engage the children to demonstrate compassion and empathy towards the elderly in dancercise sessions specially created by them.
We organised the Golden Beats Dancercise Project launch on 24th April 2021, Saturday via Zoom. We introduced our project objectives and future activities to our parents and included a dancercise video.
Sunshine Welfare Action Mission Home (SWAMI Home)
The children were engaged in a picture talk, introducing them to the resident and the routines they go through daily. They were observed being curious about how the elderly in the home were cared for. The children showed empathy towards the elderly and were inspired to create a dancercise video for the elderly in the home to be engaged in.
