The children at Maplebear Rochester did what most Singaporeans had done during the COVID-19 pandemic. They showed that they were able to identify frontline workers and even demonstrated the ability to understand what they were going through.
Apart from thanking our frontline heroes, they would also like to thank their family members or caregivers for the extra support, love and positive attention for them while getting through the stress of pandemic. Thus after discussing as a school, the kids had made the decision to write a ‘thank you’ letter to show their appreciation to them.
The teachers have mailed the letters on behalf of the children due to safety management measures. Recipients of the letters were really touched when they received the letter. We hope it brightens up their day!❤️
From this project, the kids learnt about the value - ‘gratitude’. Gratitude is powerful. The more grateful the children are, the greater their overall well-being and life satisfaction. They will then be a more generous, compassionate, and happier beings.
“Gratitude paints little smiley faces on everything it touches.”
