In the month of May, we involved the parents in fostering kindness at home. To reinforce what they learnt, we encouraged parents to talk to their children about what caring for others means and share ways to show that they care. The parents also took photos of the children showing acts of kindness such as helping at home and sharing with others. Back in the classroom, the children were invited to do a show and tell of the pictures taken at home.
The activity was indeed very meaningful for all of us. We were proud to see the children showing more initiative in helping their parents out. During show and tell, we could also see the confidence they displayed as the children shared their acts of kindness with the class and talked about what they did at home.Apart from that, Through the activity, the children also learnt from one another ways to play their part in being kind to their loved ones at home.
