The seniors who meet weekly at Toa Payoh Methodist Church celebrated the birthdays of some of their participants. Our children worked with their parents to weave heart-shaped coasters as birthday presents for them and the gifts were happily received. They sang a song to add cheer to the birthday party too.
The following week some of the seniors came to our classrooms to spend time with our children and taught them how to fold paper boats.
As the seniors’ favourite fruit is grapes, our parents generously contributed them. Our children served them to the seniors during their lunch fellowship.
SSDB had opened the door for us to reach out to others to express our appreciation & care. As hearts are touched, they responded in kind. Our kind acts maybe small but they warmed many hearts.
