Today marks the fourth installment of our SSDB Project in partnership with St. Luke’s Eldercare @ AMK Polyclinic.
As we always do, our activity begins with our elders’ storytelling with the children. Prior to starting with the storytelling, our English language storyteller shared with us:
I am very happy to see you all today children. Seeing you here now reminds me of my childhood which is filled with so much energy and happiness like yours.
We are delighted with this feedback and these words just simply made our day! Meaningful connections have been made indeed during our monthly engagement with our elderly.
For this round, we did some seated exercises which is perfectly beneficial for both elders and children in improving their posture and flexibility.
Although our For the Young and Young At Heart activities may end here for SSDB, we will continue meeting our elders monthly with the aim at keeping this connection with them a sustainable and meaningful one.
