This year, we celebrated Family Day and integrated sustainability, allowing parents to practice sustainability at home with their children as well.
Before the event, children brought in different recycled materials. With these materials, they were to reuse it and create it into something they can use again. Some children created flower display, coin bank, stationery holder etc.
During the event, parents brought in items such as tea and biscuits for NTUC Health, in exchange for the children’s recycled craft. Parents were also to use recycled materials to pack the items.
After that, different stations were set up for families to be engaged in. For example, toss the ball, roll the ball, stack the tower, cross the river etc. All the station materials were made with recycled materials. The children contributed by designing the station labels. It was indeed a fun and meaningful event, where children get to deepen their knowledge and practice for sustainability! Let’s continue to be sustainable!
