Phase 2 : Malay culture
They started the event by doing art. They learn about ‘Batik’ today. The upper level children created a batik design using the glue resist and crayon resist techniques. The lower level children did colouring and were inspired by the batik infront of them.
Children were introduced to the different type of ‘Kueh Raya’, malay costume and also traditional malay food. They even get to try the ‘kueh’.
Children created a Hari Raya card for their friends and teachers.
When Hari Raya song was being played, children get excited and danced to the song.
They learned about how the Malay people did their ‘salam’ and received the green packet money before they leave.
