‘Compassion’, ‘Appreciation’, ‘Kindness’ and ‘Empathy’…”
19th September 2018 was quite a morning for our kindergarten 1 and 2 children. The children were excited to partake in the last leg on the adventure of a beautiful and meaningful journey for our SSDB 2018 project – Everyone would love a slice of ‘CAKE’.
This memorable morning sets off with our Parent Volunteers sending the Donation-in-kind items to the Home and the children spending a beautiful morning with the residents of the Home. The residents started off the morning with a warm-up exercise session and followed by an entertainment-filled session with songs and dance that our children had practised hard for. The residents also had a blast of fun when interacting with our little ones on the ‘Pass the Ping-Pong Ball’ game. After which, the residents were treat to Pandan CAKEs for snacks and the children were ever-ready to rendered their assistance when needed.
The gift bags which our K1 & K2 children had packed prior were also given to the residents. All the staffs were not forgotten too. They each were presented a customised packed orange muffin in appreciation of the love and care they had given to the residents of the Home.
Lastly to conclude this lovely visit to the Home, we had presented a specially-made memento to the representatives of the Home in appreciation of accommodating our inaugural visit to the Home…
