With our Start Small Dream Big launch held on 30th June 2022, the children at En-Naeem Mosque Kindergarten aims to show that we care and love through our theme “Hands of Love”. We inaugurated the project with a little insight on what’s in it for the children and the parents throughout this project.
Children’s first relationships are with their parents. In the early years, a child forms a strong bond with their parents which shapes the way they view themselves and others. Strong parent-child relationships help children develop a sense of security.
We hope to develop children in becoming future adults who are able to instill care values in them. In preparation for our SSDB launch day, the teachers have come together to brainstorm ideas on many ways we can deliver these aims throughs the hands on experience.
The children were introduced to the song “I Love My Family”. The classroom was filled with love and excitement as they children performed the song.
To kickstart this project, the children created a house origami which we called “House of Family”. The origami house is simple to make, requiring just five folds. The children decorated the roof of the house and added a big front door and some windows. They also drew each family members inside, sharing about the people in their family. The children love sharing about their families. This simple origami house is great for inviting conversation about families.
