For our SSDB Project, we focused on inculcating an appreciation for immersing ourselves in active living, taking care of both our minds and bodies through exercise.
During the month of June, the N2-K2 children inquired on different ways we could engage in active living and the benefits of keeping fit. To end our project off with a bang, we collaborated with NParks and had a mass fun and active session at Jurong Lake Gardens, The Oval. We kicked off our morning with a relaxing session of Yoga, enjoying the crisp air. The children also took part in games in like Duck Duck Goose, Red Light Green Light and Blow Wind Blow. Unfortunately, as we were in the midst of our last activity - an invigorating Zumba session - it began to rain. Yet, no one’s spirits were dampened! We found a sheltered multi-purpose hall nearby the school and continued with our Zumba session, ending off the day with a picnic, cooling down and bonding over delicious bread rolls.
