Over the past month, children from N2 to K2 have excitedly prepared a little care pack for the older adult residents at All Saints Home.
The K1 children crafted beautiful flowers using coloured paper and recycled plastic straws. The N2 children showed their creativity by doing a wonderful card. And lastly, K2 children took this opportunity to add a little touch to the paper bags! They decorated the bags with stickers and added their personalised message.
To make this journey a more enriching experience, we decided to involve the whole centre in this initiative. We invite all parents to donate food items.
The K2 children had a wonderful time packing and assembling the care packs. While packing the items, children also took the initiative to suggest thoughtful things for them to use, such as face masks and wet tissue wipes.
We end this enriching journey with a final visit to All Saints Home @ Yishun on 27th September 2023, where children will present the “Care Packs” for the older adult residents.
A little thought goes a long way. The children showed care and compassion when communicating with them. We hope they continue to instil a love for the community in the future!
