Junction Tree, a bilingual preschool series that is supported by the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism, is launching its sixth season on 1 January 2020. The show promotes bilingualism through songs and stories that make languages come alive.
Together with the characters, Moomba, Beary-Big, Kucinta and friends, children will be introduced to stories, experiences, and self-discoveries. In every season, there are three different telecast time slots for each language: English and Chinese, English and Tamil, English and Malay.
For the event, Mediacorp facilitator conducted an awareness talk with children on the importance of the Mother Tongue language through various fun and interesting activities like a short screening of the programme segment and interaction with one of the characters (mascot).
