Chinese New Year is most significant festival among all Chinese festive celebrations.
The As one of our projects for SSDB 2020, we had organized an excursion to JEWEL Changi Airport for our Pre-Nursery (PN), Nursery (NR), Kindergarten 1 (K1) and Kindergarten 2 (K2) children as our annual Pre-Chinese New Year outing for Year 2020.
AtJEWEL, the children had not only learned about the shops, services and facilities but also learned about a variety of traditional Chinese New Year decoration, costume, food and etc.
They also had the chance to explore the supermarket in JEWEL. While exploring the Supermarket, they had gotten the opportunities to appreciate the following:

How merchandises were displayed orderly according to its type and category;

Range of merchandises that could be purchased in typical Supermarket;

How to look out for healthier choice and nutritious food; and
-
The process of choosing and making payment for purchase of merchandises. (for Kindergartens)
As part of the excursion, the K1 and K2 children als had the experience of buying items together with their peers.
Last but not least, children had also learned about the need to abide by the safety and regulations during excursion.
