This year, Cherie Hearts DiscoveryLand took part in ECDA’s Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project and raised funds for the Care Community Services Society (CCSS). Our cherians embarked on the concept of ‘My favourite things’. We have a charity bazaar and our little entrepreneurs helped to sell the items and food.
We started the project by having a discussion with the children about themselves and about their favourite things. The children were engaged in discovering more through discussion, songs, dance and doing craftwork.
We aim to build an early childhood community that inculcates good values in our cherians. As part of our home-school project, together with our parents, we created a Gratitude Quilt by using scratch card. Cherians were encouraged to express their gratitude by designing the card.
Let’s look at the happening during our charity bazaar!
Cherians prepared and put up amazing performance to thank our generous parents that came to support.
Through this project, children were given the opportunity to reflect on the good and being thankful for the things we have. “No one can do everything, but everyone can do something”. - Max Lucado
