With much anticipation, Cherie Hearts @ Charlton launched Start Small Dream Big Event on April along with Young Entrepreneur’s Day and Kindness Day to promote character building by instilling the spirit of giving and values.
All Cherians from Playgroup to Kindergarten 2 were actively involved in making healthy snacks and art pieces to sell during SSDB Young Entrepreneur’s Day on May based on the theme “Let’s Celebrate Harmony and Unity”. We are appreciative to have raised a whopping $6,280 from our art gallery online bidding, parent child hands on workshops, sale of crafts and healthy snacks and contributions during the event.
All proceeds from the carnival goes to Moonlight Home for the Aged and Handicapped, TOUCH Community Services, SPD (Serving People with Disabilities), and World Wife Fund for Nature (WWF).
On a termly basis our K2 Cherians visited TOUCH Senior Activity Centre to interact with the seniors and engage them through games, music and movement and gardening activities. Cherians learned to respect the elderlies as they bond with them.
Annually, K1 Cherians visited Moonlight Home for the Aged and Handicapped to keep in touch with the elderlies. They gave cards to the elderlies and performed dance and songs. Last but not least, Cherians presented food items and cash donation to them..
Through sharing and caring, we help to make the world a better place.
