In line with our 2021 vision on Kid in Philanthropy (KiP) which aims to provide opportunity for children to learn about the act of giving and sharing to living things, the Carpe Diem Kidz Universe organized a fundraising activity to help and support the goals of SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Singapore) in protecting the animals.
The children willingly offered their talents in art to create an animal painting on a canvas to sell to the parents for a great cause. They chose a shadow of animal that they want and cut to make a pattern for their painting. After decorating their background by mixing paints, they used a black acrylic to paint the pattern of their choice.
They made amazing paintings while reflecting on how we can contribute to help and protect the animals, especially those who don’t have a shelter to care for them. They learned that a small act of kindness can make a different if they all work together.
