We started our discussion by talking about our families, family members and how they help each other . Children were encouraged to think on how to show appreciation to them despite their young age.
N2 Children made a “Thank You” for the person they care the most in their family
K1 Children made flowers for their love ones.
K2 Children did a brainstorming session and created the mindmap about “Caring Hearts”.
K2 Children drew and coloured on ways to show love and appreciation to different people in the community as well as family.
K2 Children wrote letters to their most favourite family member under teacher’s guidance. They made envelopes by folding and personalised it with their drawings.
Children came back and shared how overwhelmed and happy their love ones felt upon receiving their gestures of appreciation.
