Wrapping up this year’s SSDB, teachers encouraged the children to brainstorm for ideas to turn plastic trash that the whole school has consistently collected for recycling into treasures.
The children eagerly shared many brilliant ideas on what they wish to create. They worked co-operatively across the different age groups to create items like lanterns, flower pots, pencil holders, vases, sea aquarium and bilboquet.
The unanimous collaboration of the children of the different age groups to turn trash into treasures reflects the understanding of these young little minds that this year’s SSDB theme, “Many helping hands, caring for everyone” is truly achievable. Kudos to our young inventors!
