SDM-Tinkerland was very privileged to invite the personnel of Red Cross Junior to our school to educate our kids on first aid.
The kids not only learnt about safety in different aspects but also had hands on experience on how to apply bandages on different parts of their body in the event of an injury.
The confidence and excitement reflected on the children’s faces as they applied bandages for their peers were evidence of the success of this engaging and fruitful session.
Upon reflection on what they had learnt from this first aid session, the children shared that they can use their little hands to help and take care of others in need. This will alleviate the momentary fear and pain of the victim and give them a sense of assurance that everything’s going to be alright. It was indeed heart-warming to hear such responses from children of such a young age.
