1: Coming Up With Project Idea
It was a meaningful time carrying out our ‘Start Small Dream Big’ President’s Challenge project 2019.
A SSDB launch party was held on Wednesday, 24/04/2019 with supportive parents attending and having parental involvement and parent-child bonding. Special thanks to our parents for their attendance!
Teachers and children brainstormed during lesson time and realized that we need do our part in helping nature to thrive, however we can. That starts with taking care of the environment. The children learned the importance of caring for the environment. This sparked off their sense of wonder which led them to suggest appropriate actions in relation in caring for the environment.
2: Planning For The Project
Children were encouraged to brainstorm ways they can help the environment we live in. Children made flyers to be distributed to the public at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve to educate them about their roles in preserving the nature.
3: Execution Of Project
On Wednesday, 26th June 2019, our K1 and K2 children together with their teachers embarked on a delightful Journey to do our part in saving our environment at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve!
STORY 4: REFLECT
Reflection After Project
At Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, the children distributed the flyers to the public. It was heartening to see the joyful faces of the park users when our children approached them. After the distribution, children proceeded with hiking to conquer the hill.
After the visit, the children shared their observation and experiences at the Nature Reserve with much joy and enthusiasm. We are really touched and impressed to witness the giving and caring spirit in our children to the environment!! Well done, Caring Angels!
