SSDB Star cards were used as decoratives for National Day celebration at Jurong Nursing Home. Children coloured n collaged pictures of places of interest in Singapore and things associated with Singapore such as Orchids, Singapore Flags, Merlion, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands. Our K2 children proudly wrote few messages of National Day Wishes to Jurong Nursing Home residents and staff.
They wished to share their happiness celebrating Singapore’s 55th Birthday Celebrations together with the staff and more importantly the residents at Jurong Nursing Home.
Children collated all the ‘Star Cards’ and packed them nicely before presenting to the Jurong Nursing Home. Class Form Teacher made the trip to the Nursing Home to deliver the items.
We were very excited and happy to see the Nursing home was decorated with the children’s artworks. Children felt proud and appreciated with their contributions. Jurong Nursing Home were very thankful and appreciative of the caring and efforts put in by the children as well as the teachers.
It has been a wonderful and heartwarming journey to undertake the SSDB Project and to collaborate with the Nursing Home. Children had a great time as they learned that they can play a positive and important part to care and share their Love for the Community.
