As the children dive deeper into the core topic of our project, they learn the life stages of a human and the different needs at each stage of life.
The children’s awareness of the needs of others was enhanced through story reading, interactive videos, classroom discussions and worksheets.
“Home is where one starts from” - T.S Eliot
We designed our SSDB take-home projects in a way that encouraged inter-generation bonding between the children and their families. Besides crafting out interview questions and interviewing their grandparents, the children brainstormed on how they could spend more time with them and created a collage of their outing session after they had executed their plan. Through the increased interactions and quality time spent with their grandparents, the children learned about the needs of elderlies better.
The children shared their outing experiences through the collage they made with their grandparents.
