BTP cares is our SSDB project for the year 2019 and we spent the year reaching out to our community partner, Public Utilities Board (PUB) and St. John’s Home for Elderly Persons. This initiative was brought on by our little ones who wanted to give back to the community in a meaningful way. We visited our friends at the home several times throughout the year and even had them to come and visit us in school! Through the times we spent together on the activities planned, the elderly and children forged a close relationship with each other. The children also participated in a water rationing exercise on World Water Day 2019 and were featured in our local chinese newspapers. They were interviewed by reporters about good water saving habits that they have cultivated and encouraged the rest to do the same! On World Water Day 2019, the children pledged to make it a habit and do their part to save water at home and in school!
