As we bring our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Project to a close, we reflect with gratitude on the wonderful connections and memories made through our theme of “Caring for our Elderly.” Our school’s Deepavali celebration took on an even more meaningful role as we embraced the spirit of SSDB, inviting our young learners’ grandparents to join us in this colourful festival.
Together, children and grandparents created vibrant rangoli designs using colourful crepe paper and crafted beautiful garlands from loose flowers. This shared experience allowed the children to learn about Deepavali traditions firsthand, while also expressing their gratitude and love for their elders.
This heartwarming celebration fostered joy and respect across generations, helping our children recognise the importance of caring for and appreciating the elderly in their lives. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the grandparents who joined us, making this event truly memorable and reinforcing values of love, respect, and togetherness.
As we conclude this project, we look forward to continuing our journey of kindness and compassion. E-Bridge Sumang Lane is truly grateful to have been part of this meaningful experience!
