Our children from kindergarten 1 were excited to share their passion for board games with the elderly. They suggested to create games such as snakes and ladders, as well as the game of checkers.
Scanning through the Recycling station in our M.Y Drama Hub, they found materials such as scraps of colour paper, boxes of various sizes, bottles caps, stones and twigs which they had collected together with their parents. Using the cardboard boxes they found, children pasted colour paper on it and created game boards for snake and ladder and checkers.
They drew snakes and ladders sepaprately then cut and pasted them on the gameboard. They counted out the number of stones and twigs they needed for counters and packed them into the game box they created.
