Our campus celebrated Biodiversity Day with planting activities, crafting animal creations such as Oriental Whip Snake, Bat Hawk, White-Collared Kingfisher as well as making Fish Paper Mache. During the PowerPoint presentation, teachers shared about biodiversity and how the living things need each other to live. Children delved into nature, exploring their environment while learning about the importance of biodiversity. Through art and hands-on experiences, children connected with the natural world, fostering a deeper appreciation for its wonders and appreciate on what nature has provide us.
The K1 and K2 children discussed more on how we can play a part in biodiversity such as not clearing the forests, feed the animals and show respect to the environment.
Children were engaged in activity like seed planting and they did a Fish Paper Mache using recycled bottles and newspapers. They learned the importance of the 3Rs and how they can contribute to our Earth’s sustainability. They were also engaged in a making a flower headgear using egg cartons.
Happy Biodiversity Day! Together, let’s keep our Earth strong & healthy!
