The children were introduced to Down Syndrome through a reading of “My Life with Down Syndrome by Mari Schuh”. They talked about the similarities and differences between those with and without disabilities.
Singapore Down Syndrome Association conducted a vitual talk attended by parents to share and discuss what down syndrome is, ways to interact, and the support and services they have.
Ms Suly from Singapore Down Syndrome Association was also invited to the centre to share a talk and a story to the children.
The children showed their appreciation by illustrating thank you cards for Ms Suly. They thanked her for teaching them about Down Syndrome and sharing stories about their beneficiaries.
