The participants were divided into parents’ and children’s group when they were at the centre. . The parents were given a talk on the topic of health on how to prevent kidney disease and introduced to B.L.E.S.S Project and how their children would be involved. A dietician explained to them the importance of healthy eating and proper diet. She showed them the components of a healthy plate consisting of half a plate of vegetables, one quarter plate of whole grain and one quarter plate of protein food like fish, meat, egg and chicken etc and also highlighted the importance of drinking adequate amount of water.
