During the month of August, we planned three visits to Bedok Dialysis Centre. On the 1st and 15th of August, the children wanted to present their chicken burgers, green tea buns and their handmade Hama beads craft to the patients at the centre.
When the K1 children were at the centre, they were all ready to whip up a healthy feast for the patients - A sumptuous yogurt fruit salad with the social worker interns and parent volunteers. Our parents also generously contributed and made chicken burgers and green tea buns which were recommended by the NKF dietician. The patients had already bonded well with our children during the past visits and were looking forward to their singing performances.
This time, the children belt up two song number - Nothing is impossible and a mandarin song entitled Ta Lang. After which, the children presented the Hama beads craft, chicken burgers, green tea buns and yogurt fruit salad. The patients were very delighted to receive these little gifts from the children. Thus the patients were eager to eat the yogurt fruit salad on the spot and they gave thumbs up signs to the children to show their appreciation. On our side, we can really see that our parents were very supportive in giving their time, money and effort in making our every visit to the Bedok Dialysis Centre a success!
