The children were excited to welcome their families into the classroom for breakfast on ‘Appreciation Day’. It was a way for them to say thank you to moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, uncles and aunties and others who may be taking care of them.
The children enjoyed putting the sandwiches together with their parents and had a good time interacting with each other and having a meal in a large group. Soon the classrooms were filled with the happy chatter and laughter of children and their parents / guardians.
The children had practiced hard on their performances to thank everyone for taking care of them. They had also handmade beautiful cards that they gave to their parents. Parents were touched by the effort the children had put in for the performance and by the thank-you cards that they received with lots of love.
