In conjunction with Mother’s Day 2018, the children embarked on a mini project where they were tasked to care for an egg for 48 hours. The simulation activity encouraged them to reflect and understand the ways that their mothers had cared for them when they were younger. Through discussions during the simulation activity, the children learnt new ways to show their love and appreciation to their mothers.
Subsequently, we had a Mother’s Day celebration in school where the children showed their appreciation to their mothers! They expressed their love through a series of song and dance performances. Additionally, the children and their mothers bonded over a hands-on activity that included using kitchen ingredients to make a lip scrub.
