Community connections give children a sense of belonging and help them develop vital skills in life. Learning about the community where children live allows them to learn more about themselves and the world around them. It enables them to understand the role they play and their impact to the society.
In conjunction with the theme on Community, children were introduced to various community helpers. Not only have they expressed their gratitude towards their contribution especially during COVID-19 but also children acquired a glimmer of hope by drawing inspiration in them. As they donned on their SSDB hats, they proudly shared to class what they wanted to become when they grow up and how they could help Singapore or the world in general become a better place to live in. They channelled their dreams and aspirations through a creative drawing.
