The K1s began our SSDB journey by showing appreciation towards the world we live in. We went on walks around our neighbourhood and discussed about what we love about the environment around us.
“Its so clean!”
“The flowers are beautiful!”
“I love the sky, its so blue and the grass is so green!”
“Theres so many butterflies, they are cute and colorful!”
The children exclaimed their love for nature and noticed that we are cohabiting with other living creatures as we walked around.
When asked who is responsible for maintaining a clean and beautiful environment for us all, the children believed that all of us are responsible for it.
“We should pick up any trash we see when we go for a walk!”
And that is when we decided to go on weekly clean-up walks and to play our part in maintaning a clean and green neighbourhood.
Our weekly clean-ups helpwd us to realize that we need to play an active role and take action, no matter how small, to ensure that our neighbourhood, environments and our planet will remain clean, healthy and green.
