The idea to adopt-the-playground located in front of the centre premises was sparked by one of the children’s perspective. The child had noticed the playground to be ‘dirty’ with litter such as tissue papers, plastic bottles and more whenever he plays there during the evenings.
Thus we thought that it would be great to instil responsibility in the children to keep their favourite places clean and safe. They now spend a portion of their outdoor play time keeping the playground clean and tidy.
Although we found the playground to be relatively cleaner in the morning; with less litter around the premises, a child expressed that one could even use a cloth to wipe the playground slides dry and clean if it was wet from the rain so that they can enjoy their play.
