On 23 April 2019, Jenius Kindergarten launched our SSDB party.
In line with Mother’s Day, our K2 children showed their love to their mothers by making photo frames through the use of recycling materials. A few weeks before the SSDB Virtual Launch Party, Teachers helped to collect empty cornflakes boxes and magazines. Each K2 child brought a family photograph.
The K2 children were taught on how to make the photo frames. Using the empty cornflakes boxes, pencils. rulers and scissors, the teacher guided the K2 children to draw the border of the photo frames. After having drawn the border, the K2 children cut these cardboards accordingly. The next step was to tear the pages of papers from magazines. The K2 children followed teacher’s instruction to roll these magazines into stripes, cut and pasted these strips of papers on the border of the photo frame using white glue. The last step was to paste their family photographs on the photo frames. Each photo frame is unique and personalised as it is specially hand made by each K2 child.
On the day of our SSDB Virtual Launch Party, the K2 children continued with making their photo frames.
The K2 children have been divided into three groups. Group 1 children will help to tear pages of papers from magazines, rolled them into strips and cut them.

After they have finished their photo frames, all the K2 children came together and said, “Start Small Dream Big. Happy Mothers’ Day!” With that, their mothers came and the K2 children presented their handmade photo frames to their mothers.
