In celebration of Racial Harmony Day and SSDB finale, our barter trading day finally came. The children painted arts from different culture such as Chinese calligraphy, batik, rangoli and Peranakan tiles in exchange for food staples from parents. Our beneficiary was Food from the Heart. The day was fulfilling with booths set up for the children to appreciate the different cultures in Singapore, and at the same the parents had a chance to view their children’s works through a gallery walk. It was indeed a day to remember that “No one can do everything, but everyone can do something” to make our community a better place to live in when we care and share.
