This time, the visit went a little differently. Our friends at St John’s paid us a visit instead! Oh, what a morning of fun and laughter! The children were thrilled to have their elderly friends over to join us in school for craft and lunch. The children wanted to show the elderly what they have been doing and learning about in class and they worked very hard to put up a panda themed performance for the elderly. Their performance consisted of rhymes and songs in English and Mandarin. The K2s conducted the session to engage their elderly friends and taught them about Kai Kai and Jia Jia as well as how to differentiate our 2 beloved pandas.
“Busy hands make happy hearts!”
You could definitely see the joy on both the elderly and children’s faces as they worked hard to create a panda using homemade coloured dough. They spent time and effort in moulding their pandas with great detail. The outcome was very impressive! The elderly also enjoyed a scrumptious meal provided by our in-cook house cook and ate lunch with the children!
