Kindness is contagious, and even small acts can have a big impact. Showing kindness to neighbours is a wonderful way to foster a sense of community and build strong relationships. By showing kindness to neighbours, we can create a warm and caring community where everyone feels valued and supported.
K1 children had a pair group discussion on ways on how to show respect and build good relationship towards their neighbours. They shared different examples which helped them understood better and deeper the importance of showing respect and love to their neighbours. After the short discussion, they were given strips of paper where they wrote kind and respectful words to their neighbours. Afterwards, they explained the words that they have written and they connected the strips of paper to create a paper chain of kindness. This activity is a great way of creating a harmonious culture and a habit of kindness.
K2 Children were grouped in small groups to discuss, express and share their thoughts on how they had shown appreciation and will continue to show appreciation to their neighbours. By breaking away from traditional classroom settings and through encouraging collaborative learning, K2 children were able to promote and expand their knowledge during the discussion session. They shared some common ways they showed appreciation and respect for their neighbours. The children displayed continuous engagement and were interactive throughout the activity. Following their discussion, they then worked together as a team and illustrated ways they would show appreciation and respect to their neighbours.
