Appreciation for friends and teachers is something that should be cherished and celebrated. Friends bring joy to our lives and lend a listening ear. Teachers have a profound impact on our growth and learning. They inspire us, impart their knowledge and shape our futures. Showing appreciation for these amazing individuals is a beautiful way of acknowledging their importance in our lives.
Kindergarten 1 children had learnt the importance of being kind to their friends and teachers. They shared different examples on how to show kindness to their friends and teachers in the class. They did role play of the different scenarios of showing appreciation, love and care towards their friends and teachers. Children sorted out different pictures of scenarios according to being kind and unkind.
Kindergarten 2 children listened to the story “The Giving Tree” and understood from the story that appreciation is important as it helps one to acknowledge and recognise the efforts, kindness and support of others. Likewise, appreciating friends is crucial as it builds and maintains strong relationships. It lets them know that their presence and support are valued. Similarly when it comes to teachers, appreciation is the key to creating a positive learning environment. Children learnt that expressing gratitude and simple gestures like saying ‘thank you’. They made a thank you card for their friends that left a great impact on everyone positively.
