Last 15th May 2023, the Kindergarten 1 children went to St.Luke’s Elderly care as part of our intergeneration programme. The children were excited to see the elderly and they prepared some activities with them.
The children performed “Top of The World” song to the elderly and some mothers’ day song in chinese. The elderly enjoyed the performances. The children developed their confidence.
After their performance, the children went near to the elderly to share their family pictures. They showed their family members and shared interesting stories about them. The children communicated with the elderly and they showed confidence.
The activities ended by the children giving their “heart artwork” to the elderly. The activities were aligned to our school’s vision : Confident and Creative Learners with a Caring Heart.
The children had a wonderful time with the elderly. The staff of St.Luke’s elderly care were friendly to the children. We are looking forward for our next visit and to continue our good partnership with them.
