As part of our SSDB project with the theme ‘Small Steps to Kindness’, our centre have collaborated with the Orange Valley Senior Activity Centre to be connected with the elderlies.
The objectives of this programme is to get the children show care and kindness to the pioneers so as they feel appreciated as they miss their social interactions with their families, friends and loved ones.
As we embraced the technology during this time, we had a meaningful and sweet virtual intergenerational bonding with them. We were so much grateful to see the excitement and big smiles on their face.
Greeting the seniors with love💖💖💖
We have prepared some surprises by doing an interactive morning work out, sang a heart- touching song and a graceful dance performance. We also created a colourful and creative art and craft work to make them more special.
K1 children entertained the elderlies with a beautiful songs “Chan Mali Chan”and ‘Chinese Song’.
Now, it’s the K2 turned to sing and dance for them. ‘“You Are My Sunshine” and “Kiss Me, Kiss Me”.

Another way to extend our kindness is through ‘giving’. Our K1 and K2 parents were supportive and cooperative to our ‘Donation Drive for Care Packs for Seniors’.
Parents started to bring donations.. 💖
Children understood the importance of ‘giving’ as they were motivated to bring some donations. They were excited to pack the items they have brought in school and to distribute small care packs for elderlies.
They can feel the sense of greater satisfaction and joy as their little hands can make difference through ‘sharing’.

And we are very much excited to give all of these to grandma and grandpa..💖💖💖
