After the SSDB Launch Party on 3rd April 2017, the children from Nursery to Kindergarten 2 children continue taking care of the garden, environment and the community. Our aim is to promote awareness and create opportunities for parents to their child’s learning and bond with their child through activities in school, we invited them to the centre.
The centre held a mini carnival to raise vital funds on Mother’s Day. It was a fun-filled day of parent-child bonding where active participation were highly encouraged. There were different stations of games prepared by thr teachers for all to enjoy. Coupons were purchased and used at the different stations. We also conducted a workshop, where both mother and child participated in. The workshop aimed to encourage both parents and children to take care of the living things and the environment thus the love of plants and trees. The proceeds were then donated to ‘National Breast Cancer Foundation’.
The mother was seen bonding with her child in terrarium making. The children gently handled the plants and placed in the jar. From the terrarium making workshop, the mother and child brought back some tips on taking care of indoor plants in covered and opened jar.
