"LFP@ Admiralty and SWAMI Home for the Aged Collaboration In Fostering Inter-generational Connection"

In an inspiring display of community synergy, a heartwarming collaboration has taken root between LFP@ Admiralty and SWAMI with the help of AIC over the last 3 years. We are so thankful to have selected AIC and continued the partnership with them as we witness the children gained insights into history, culture, and life lessons particularly in taking care of the elderly. This initiative bridges the generational gap, creating an environment where young minds and elderlies come together to celebrate and build companionships.

At LFP, the children are not only learning from textbooks but also from real life experiences. And we are grateful for this strong partnership that we have built with SWAMI. The collaboration encompasses a variety of activities that encourage interaction between the two groups. Virtual meetups and visits are organised, allowing the children and parents to spend time with the elderly, engaging in conversations, games, and even gardening activities.

Through this partnership, our children gain insights into history, culture, and life lessons that can’t be found in any curriculum. In return, the residents of SWAMI find renewed purpose and joy in sharing their stories, skills, and wisdom with the enthusiastic children. The bonds formed transcend the age barrier, fostering mutual respect and empathy.
