In August, we organised a Charity Drive for the school community to contribute food items for an old folks home. Our chosen beneficiary for the charity drive is All Saints Home, Hougang Branch. The teaching teams also made connections to relate the learning dispositions Reflectiveness and Appreciation to the children.
Our K1 and K2 children went on a learning journey to the Home on Tuesday, 15 August 2017. They had the opportunity to perform and interact with the elderly. The children also distributed the collection of our food items to the Home on that day.
In E-Bridge Pre-School, we believe that parental involvement builds the foundation for children’s holistic development. Rooted to that belief and thanks to the active parental involvement, we were able to carry out and fulfill our objectives for the SSDB project this year. We look forward to continue this act of caring and giving experience within our school community. “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted” by Aesop.
