1. MOH’s New Screen Time Regulations for Early Childhood
Starting 1 February 2025, the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) Singapore will enforce new screen time limits to promote healthier early learning environments:
📌 No Screen Time for Infants (0-18 Months) – Screens will be prohibited to support cognitive and social development.
📌 Limited Screen Use for Children 18 Months - 6 Years – Screens will be allowed only for teaching purposes, ensuring a balanced approach to digital learning.
These changes align with global efforts to reduce passive screen exposure, encouraging play-based learning, physical activity, and social interaction. Schools can adapt by integrating interactive, hands-on teaching methods and fostering engaging, screen-free experiences.
How will your school embrace this shift? Let’s create healthier learning together!
2. Nature-Based Learning – Bringing Classrooms Outdoors
More schools are shifting towards nature-based learning, where lessons extend beyond the classroom into outdoor environments. Research shows that outdoor learning enhances cognitive development, creativity, and physical health in young learners. Schools implementing this approach integrate activities like gardening, nature walks, and eco-friendly projects into their curriculum.
📌 How LittleLives Supports This Trend: Schools can document and share nature-based learning experiences through the LittleLives Portfolio feature, ensuring parents stay engaged with their child's outdoor learning journey.

With advancements in artificial intelligence, AI-powered personalised learning is gaining traction in early childhood education. AI tools can help teachers analyse student progress and provide targeted interventions for better outcomes.
