K2 children from StarLearners Childcare @Ubi is participating the SSDB project for the first time this year.
We started by reading the story entitled “The Day the Rains fell” by Anne Faundez
Children enjoyed the story and how the character Lindewe helped to Ensure all the animals were able to drink water. She did that by making giant pots of Clay to collect water from the rain.
Children started to think more when teacher poses this question - Where do we collect water here in Singapore? That is when we started by watching videos on what are the reservoirs in Singapore and created a mind map during our discussion.
Children also managed to do some activities in their Reflection Journal after the discussion.
Children are definitely looking forward to learning more on water conservation!
