The “SSDB Tie-Dye Workshop” was conducted on 16 July 2022 virtually with our children and their families. Prior to this, families worked together with the teachers to collect the materials needed, such as recycled bottles and pre-loved plain men’s shirts for the activity. They had been briefed on the purpose of how the centre aims to work together with them in creating beautifully tie-dyed shirts in an upcoming workshop. A great number of parents and children showed their interest in participating in the workshop, and were provided with the “SSDB Tie-Dye Workshop Kit” that had been prepared by the teachers in the centre.
During the workshop, many happy and excited faces were seen as they got their hands dirty with the beautiful colourings for the tie-dye activity. Parents worked together with their children as they were guided by the teachers on the steps to take. Even the teachers had some fun of their own creating the tie-dye shirts!
After the workshop, parents shared photos and selfies of their families along with their completed tie-dyed shirts and brought it back to school when it reopened on Monday.
