The school kicked off the celebration with a wonderful performance by the children of Kindergarten 1 and 2 with 2 different sets of song and dance item. The Kindergarten 1 children sang ‘I Love My Teachers’ by S’cool Teachers and the Kindergarten 2 children sang ‘Thank you Teachers Thank you’ by The Mckinley Music Box. Afterwards, all children from toddlers to after-school care class came together to wish a loud “Happy Teacher’s Day” for all teachers and staff of Appleland Montessori.
Back in their respective classrooms, children took the opportunity to give out gifts or cards to their teachers. Some brought a variety of food such as cakes, fruits, pizza, croissants, and others gave heartfelt written cards, mugs, notebooks and many more. Besides wishes from children, parents also gave well wishes and appreciation notes to the teachers and staff for taking good care and nurturing the children to be confident, independent and smart learners.

Subsequently, class teachers conducted fun and exciting activities for children to participate during the celebration day to learn ways they can show appreciation and love towards teachers they treasure.
In the Nursery 2 class, children came together to create a big ‘Thank You’ card for all the teachers. Children used crayons, markers and colour pencils to unleash their creativity on the mahjong paper by colouring the words and drawing symbols such as heart shape, sun, smiley face and many more to show how they feel towards their teachers. Children were seen putting in the effort to collaborate with one another to complete the card. The card was then pasted on the wall for all to see and appreciate. Nicely done children!
All in all, children enjoyed themselves during the celebration as much as the teachers who feels greatly appreciated by the lovely gestures made by the children.
